OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4. Place the corresponding splash guard on the top of the jug or bowl, making sure
that the blade shaft pokes through the hole in the centre, and the grooves on the
splash guard align with the ridges on the bowl or jug. (Additionally, when using
the jug, the spout of the splash guard should be fitted over the spout of the jug.)
Do not operate without the correct splash guard in place.
5. Place the power head on top of the splash guard, aligning the on/off pulse button
with the black tab on the splash guard. Plug in the power head.
6. To start, hold the jug or bowl firmly in place while pressing the pulse button on
the top of the power head. To stop, release the pulse button. To chop large pieces
of ingredients, press and release the pulse button repeatedly instead of pressing
and holding. NOTE: Do not operate the unit continuously for more than 2 minutes.
For especially hard ingredients, such as ice, only run the unit in 15-second
(or shorter) bursts.
7. If ingredients splatter and stick to the sides of the jug or bowl, remove the power head
and splash guard (ALWAYS make sure that the blades have stopped completely),
and use a spatula to scrape the sides. Then replace the splash guard and power head,
and continue blending.
8. When you have finished blending, make sure that the blade has stopped completely,
then remove the power head and splash guard.
9. Remove the blade by its shaft before pouring or scraping out the contents of the jug
or bowl. To pour from the blender jug with the splash guard lid on,
open the flip top first.
10. To store processed foods short-term in the fridge, use the appropriate storage lid for
either the blender jug or chopper bowl. The storage lids fit directly onto the jug and
bowl without the splash guards.
