Battery Replacement
1. When the symbol " " appears, the battery needs to be replaced
2. Using a coin, unlock the battery cover by turning it counter-clockwise and
carefully remove the battery with a non-metal instrument from the battery holder.
Avoid using any sharp metal object for this operation
3. Discard the old battery carefully
4. Place a new 1.5V button size battery, LR41 or equivalent in the chamber with
the negative (-) side up and the positive (+) side down
5. Using a coin, replace and secure the battery cover by turning it clockwise
Warning
1. Discard old batteries carefully out of reach of young children. Swallowing a battery
may be fatal. If a battery is swallowed, contact a hospital emergency department
immediately to have it removed. Do not dispose of batteries in fire as this may
cause explosion
2. Dispose of batteries in accordance with national and local regulations
Precautions
1. Do not boil the probe/thermometer or put through a dishwasher. Instead, clean
the device by wiping it with a dry cloth and disinfecting the probe with isopropyl
alcohol. See cleaning instructions for details
2. Do not drop the thermometer or expose it to heavy shock
3. Do not bite or swallow the probe or the battery cover
4. After using, clean the thermometer and place it back in the carrier case
5. Do not store under direct sunlight, at high temperatures, high humidity levels or
dust as this may degrade its performance
6. Stop using the thermometer if it operates erratically or if the display malfunctions
7. Keep out of reach of unsupervised children. Do not let children play with the device
8. Components may be harmful if swallowed. Contact a physician immediately
should this occur
9. Do not attempt to disassemble the device except to replace the battery
10. If the thermometer has been stored at subzero temperatures, allow it to warm
naturally to room temperature before using
How to Use
1. Disinfect the probe with isopropyl alcohol before using
2. Press and release the "ON/OFF" button. The display will confirm that the
device is functioning properly by showing
3. The display will the show "L°C (°F") with "°C (°F)" flashing. If the room temperature is
greater than 32.0°C (90.0°F), it will display the room temperature rather than "L°C (°F)"
4. Place the probe in the appropriate position
5. Once the degree sign "°C (°F)" stops flashing, the measurement has been taken and
the temperature is displayed. An alarm signal will also sound for approximately
8 seconds after "°C (°F)" stops flashing
6. The device will automatically turn off after approx. 3 minutes. However, to
prolong battery life, it is recommended that you press the" ON/OFF" button
to turn off the device once the temperature has been indicated

Last-Temperature Memory Recall:
When the"ON/OFF" button is depressed to activate the thermometer, hold down for
approximately 5 seconds. The display of
This reading is displayed as long as the button is held down. When the button is
released, the thermometer will be in "ready-to-measure" mode and the recalled
temperature will be erased.
For Switchable Centigrade and Fahrenheit Models:
After turning on the thermometer, the Centigrade or Fahrenheit mode can be
switched within the first 5 seconds by pressing and holding the "ON/OFF" button for
2 seconds. The next time the thermometer is turned on it will automatically measure
in the same scale.

Clean & Disinfection Instructions
Clean and disinfect the thermometer before and after use without the aid of corrosive
detergents
Cleaning Process
1. Pre-cleani with cold water wash several times
2. Clean the probe with a solution of 5-10% mild detergent
3. Continuously clean with cold water to avoid any chemical residues remaining on
the device
4. Rinse the device with ordinary tap water or distilled water to ensure all remnants
of the cleaning agent have been removed
5. A final wipe down with a clean dry cloth is necessary to avoid water stains
Disinfection Process
1. Disinfect the device after you have finished cleaning it
2. Wipe the probe with a cloth dipped in a disinfectant solution such as 70-75%
isopropyl alcohol
3. Rinse the device to remove any disinfectant residue
Drying Process
1. After completing the cleaning and disinfection process above, the device must
be dried
2. Allow the device to air dry at room temperature (20-30°C), exposure time
around 30~60 min
3. Store the device in a dry, clean, dust-free environment at room temperature
will change to show the last reading.
