No.
Q: What is the best place to install ED2000?
A:
The best place to install ED2000 is where the main water line enters the house before it
splits into the water heater or other plumbing, preferably indoors. If you need to install
ED2000 outdoors, please ensure the location is waterproof and has no direct sunlight or
heat.
Q: Can ED2000 be mounted horizontally?
A: Yes. The box can be mounted in any direction as long as the two antennas are wrapped on
the pipe clockwise and counterclockwise for at least 7 wraps each.
Q: I have plastic piping in my home. Can I use ED2000?
A: ED2000 is suitable for all types of plumbing, including plastic, copper, and galvanized.
Q: Is it necessary to install ED2000 on a pipe?
A:
Yes. The box can be tight on the pipe, although it is recommended to mount the unit on the
wall and wrap the antenna around it. The antenna should touch the pipe. A minimum of
seven wraps per antenna is required.
Q: If I move, can I take ED2000 with me?
A: Yes. You can easily remove ED2000 by unwrapping the antennas and unplugging the unit;
no plumbing is required.
