This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concer-
ning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazard involved. Children shall not play with the appli-
ance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Do not attempt to repair this
product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks. Do not
submerge into water. Indoor use only.

Connecting the Unit
1. Connect the unit to your computer via a USB port.
2. Windows will automatically detect the device as "Total Controls Apache KU" and install the necessary drivers.
3. Navigate to Start > Settings > Devices. Verify that "Total Controls Apache KU" appears in the list of connected devices.
Configuring the Display for DCS
1. To enable the display functionality in DCS, install DCS-BIOS.
2. Ensure the unit is connected via the correct COM port as specified in the DCS-BIOS setup.
Adjusting Display Contrast
• Use the rotary switch on the back of the unit to adjust display contrast. A small screwdriver is required for this adjustment.
Rotate until the contrast meets your preference.
Display Brightness Control
• Default Mode:
The display background brightness is controlled by the axis control knob.
• Fixed Brightness:
1. Press and hold Options Buttons (47 & 48).
2. Press Button 2 (8) on the numeric keypad to set fixed brightness.
3. Reset to default brightness mode by pressing Button 1 (7) on the numeric keypad.
Selecting Display Information
Use Options Buttons (47 & 48) in combination with Buttons A, B, C, and D (1-4) to select the information displayed. See page
2 in this manual for reference.
Adjusting Button Brightness
1. Hold Options Buttons (47 & 48).
2. Use the Up and Down Arrows (49 & 51) to increase or decrease brightness of the buttons.

Refer to Page 2 of this manual for the complete layout of the device.
Sleep Mode
The unit will enter a sleep state after 60 minutes of inactivity. In this state, all brightness settings will dim to a low level.
Troubleshooting
If some buttons are not operational on the unit, disconnect the device from your computer and re-connect it again.
Hold Options Buttons (47 & 48) and press button 24 (R) to reset the unit to factory default.
