The approximately 11 km long Mixnitz-St. Erhard narrow-gauge line was built in 1913 as part of the development of the
magnesite deposits in Breitenau am Hochlantsch. It is therefore hardly surprising that the two green AEG-Berlin 600V
direct current engines were also given this name. The electric locomotives with the Bo axle arrangement were initially
used for mixed operation of passenger and goods trains. After passenger traffic was discontinued due to a lack of
profitability, the now blue 'E1' and 'E2' locomotives were only used for freight traffic, primarily for transporting magnesite.
Today, the Breitenauerbahn once again organises passenger transport in the form of nostalgic trips in cooperation with
the railway owner RHI MAGNESITA.
The model is fully painted and printed, taking into account the differences between the two road numbers and is fully
equipped with hand-coloured plug-in parts. The new coreless and varied history, a complete view through the driver's
cab.
The specially developed circuit board not only offers changing lights, but also the option of simply digitising the small
engine or even equipping it with sound. An interface had to be omitted, but there are easily accessible and plated-through
solder pads available.
To open the model, the light guides of the headlights must be pulled straight out of the model. Take care to remove the
lamp rings carefully without damaging the paintwork before pulling out the light pins. The car body is held exclusively by
the headlamps. If the four light pins are carefully pulled out, the body can be lifted off completely.
To digitalize, please disconnect the conductor tracks at the point
indicated on the circuit board and connect the corresponding
solder pads to the cables of your decoder in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions. You can use any commercially
available H0e cable decoder. We recommend the ZIMO decoder
art. no. MX622. For optimised driving characteristics, we
recommend the following CV settings:
CV 3 = 22; CV 4 = 16; CV 5 = 200; CV 9 = 95; CV 35 = 3; CV
36 = 4; CV 57 = 140; CV 60 = 100; CV 61 = 97; CV 125 = 88;
CV 126 = 88; CV 155 and 156 = 6; CV 190 = 4; CV 191 = 1.
To equip the models with sound, we recommend the MS500 from
ZIMO with the sound project from Alexander Meyer. The model is
oiled at the factory and ready to run immediately; when re-oiling,
we recommend applying a drop of oil to each axle bearing.
