Mounting and Operating Instructions
THERMOSTATS
Series 200 (with plug connection)
Important technical data
Mounting position: optional
Switch: single-pole changeover
Switching capacity: 8 (5) A 250 V ~
Maximum
environmental temperature
at the switching unit: 70 °C
Switching differential:
not adjustable (except types TRMV)
Type of protection: IP 54 (in case of vertical
mounting position)
Types:
TRM, TAM, TX, FT, FTB
Fema Regelgerate
EMA
Wall Installation
With wall bracket H 1 (included as standard with
room thermostats type TRM).
Fasten holding bracket (5) horizontally on wall by
means of screws and plugs (6 mm diameter). Fasten
terminal plate (3) by means of 2 screws M4 on the
reverse side of the switching unit (do not tighten-
maintain approx.
2 mm distance between casing
and
terminal
plate).
Hang
casing
on
the
bracket
and
clamp
it
with two
screws
M 4.
The
thermostats
can
also be. fixed direct by
means
of
2
screws
(4mm
diameter) on a
flat surface (without wall
bracket H 1).

Wall fixing of the sensor cartridge by means of
clamping bracket H2
Fix clamping bracket by means of 2 screws
on the wall. Press together the angled ends
and insert sensor cartridge. After releasing,
the sensor cartridge fits tightly.
For pressure-tight
installation
thermowells
in 3
different lengths are available. For further acces-
sories see technical data sheets.
Adjustment of the switching points
Turning to the right: lower switching point
Turning to the left: higher switching point
The grub screw (12) located above the
scale is to be slackened off approx.
2 turns before making an adjustment
i
and tightened up again after setting.
Switching differential
(adjustable only on TRMV types)
By means of the grub
screw within the setting
spindle 11.
Seeing erential Sercning temontory
The lower switching point is not changed by adju-
sting the differential, only the upper switching point
is shifted by the amount of the differential.
Turning to the right: greater switching differential
Turning to the left:
smaller switching differential
Reclose Preventation (temperature limiter)
(switching unit 205 and 206)
On
thermostats
with
reclose
preventation
(red
button), the unlatching is achieved by actuating the
button in front of the switching unit. The unlatching
is only effective if the temperature at the sensor lies
at least 8 to 10°C above (in case of switch unit 206)
or below (in case of switch unit 205) the adjusted
setpoint.
Factory Adjustment
With falling temperature, switching occurs at the set
scale value. The switching back (with rising tempe-
rature) occurs at a value higher by the amount of the
switching difference.
Frost protection thermostat FT and FTB
The
frost protection
thermostat
type
FT 015
is
constructed
in such
way that it reacts
to under-
cooling of a short part of the whole sensor system.
Therefore, the whole heating surface of the air heater
will be monitored. The temperature at the switching
unit and at that part of the capillary tube between
switching unit and air heater must not fall below the
adjusted setpoint, as otherwise the frost protection
of the air heater will be lost (caution when placing
the capillary tube in the open air and in cold areas).
Electrical connection
Controllers
As the temperature rises:
3-1 opens, 3-2 closes
As the temperature falls:
3-2 opens, 3-1 closes
Limiter (min.)
Electrical wiring:
1. Remove screw
2. Insert screwdriver
into the slit and
press downwards.
The electrical wiring is done at the angled plug.
The cable exit is possible in 4 directions - each
offset at 90°C.
Important Note
The thermostats are precision instruments which are
adjusted and re-setted in the factory. Therefore, do
not open
the device,
or re-set the varnished
adjustment screws. This would alter the set swit-
ching points — re-setting would be necessary.
