• Always use this product on a hard, flat, non-combustible surface such
as concrete, rock or stone. Asphalt surfaces are not acceptable for this
purpose. Never use on wood.
• Keep electrical cords away from the product when it is switched on.
• All surfaces of this product are hot when the product is in operation. To
avoid burns, do not touch it until it has cooled completely, unless you are
wearing protective gloves.
• Never touch the ashes or embers to see if they are hot.
• Do not lean over the product when lighting it or when it is in use.
• This product should be inspected and thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis.
• WARNING! Do not use petrol or alcohol to ignite or fan the flame. Use only
lighters that comply with the
• EN 1860-3.
• Do not attempt to move or store this product until the ashes and embers
are completely extinguished. Also, do not remove ashes until they are
completely extinguished.
• Make sure the product is cool before attempting to move it.
• Use long, sturdy tools to add or move pellets.
• Avoid breathing fire fumes and avoid getting them in your eyes.
• After a period of storage and/or non-use, check for signs of damage or
creosote build-up. Do not use until necessary repair and/or cleaning has
been carried out.
• The product must not be placed within 1.5 m of walls and objects during use.
Emergency extinguishing
• In the event of a fault or accidental overturning of the appliance, extin-
guish the fire immediately with a fire extinguisher or try to cut off the air
supply with a specially treated fire blanket.
• Never extinguish fire with water.
• If you cannot extinguish the fire, call the fire brigade immediately.
