Turn down the cook/keep warm selector switch (button 7 figure 1), the red light will come on and the rice
will start cooking.
Note: For rice and steam cooking, the cooker will automatically determine the exact cooking time
according to the amount of water remaining and the ingredients in the inner pot.
At the end of cooking, the cooker automatically switches to the Keep Warm function and the orange
Keep Warm indicator lights up.
You can manually activate the keep warm function by turning up the switch (button 7, Figure 1), the
orange "Keep warm" indicator will light up.
Be careful of the hot steam when removing the steam basket.

Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any
other liquid. Remove the lid, steam basket and inner pot. Wash with soap and water. Do not use abrasive
products. Rice or residues may have stuck to the hotplate, clean it with a mild detergent. Wipe the hot
plate to maintain good contact with the inner pot.
Correct disposal of the unit (Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
(Applicable in the European Union and the rest of Europe that have adopted separate collection systems
countries). The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires
that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old
appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they
contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin
is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collection. Consumers should contact their
local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their product.
