This card can also be used with instruments
which use M-256E, M-256D or M-128D.
(However, the amount of data that can be saved
onto this card will be the same as when using a
card originally specified for the instrument.)

Insert the Battery
First, insert the supplied battery into the Memory
Card.
* When replacing the battery, be sure to insert it
correctly (to ensure correct polarity).

Be sure that you are holding the card with the face
up, and insert it slowly until it is securely in place.
How to usethe Memory Card is fully explained in the
owner's manual of each device. This card
used the same way as the M-256E, M-256D or M-
280.
Do not touch the metal shutter on the back of the
Memory Card.
Avoid using or storing the Memory Card in places
where there is excessive heat, humidity,
where it may be affected by direct sunlight or dust.
Keep the battery out of reach of small children. If a
child has accidentally swallowed the battery, see a
doctor immediately.
Battery Replacement
The battery will last more than two years if kept
within the temperature range of O to 25• C (32 to 77•
F). To assure that your data is preserved, however, we
recommend that you replace the battery every two
years.
Replace the battery as shown in "Inserting
Battery".
Be sure to save the data into the device in use before
replacing the battery, or keep the Memory Card
connected to the device during battery replacement,
or the data on the Memory Card may be lost.
Be sure to use the specified battery (CR-2016).
Protect Switch
The Protect Switch is provided to prevent accidental
erasure of data. Please be sure to keep it in the ON
position except when writing new data.
