1. Scope of supply (fig. A)
Lighting unit (2), diffusor screen (13), 3200 K artificial light filter (12), swivel
joint (4), connecting piece (5) (is probably placed underneath the box insert).
Please note: Please remove the adhesive protection film from front pane (9),
diffusor screen (13) and artificial light filter (12) before first use. (Diffusor screen
and artificial light filter are attached by magnets (14) and can be detached
easily.)
2. Application
The StarCluster LED panel light can be used for video and photo shots with
digital cameras and camcorders.
3. Inserting batteries
The light is powered by five standard AA batteries or NiMH rechargeables or
by a Canon LP-E6 camera battery (standard battery of Canon EOS 5D MKII
and 7D) or equivalents (batteries are not included.). Make sure that the light is
switched off: the dot mark (6) on the dimmer switch (1) must be in OFF position.
Push the green lock button (11) downwards to open the battery compartment
(7). Insert the batteries (fig. B) and ensure, that the polarity complies with the
markings inside the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment. The
Canon LP-E6 battery is placed in the connecting shape on top of the battery
compartment (7) (fig. C). The lid of the battery compartment has to be opened
first.
Please make sure not to use AA batteries and LP-E6 battery simultaneously.
4. Mains operation
The light can also be powered via a mains adapter, that is available as an ac-
cessory (code no. 3271). Please pay attention to the mains adapterʼs instruc-
tions. Before connecting to the mains adapter make sure, that the light is
switched off: the dot mark (6) on the dimmer switch (1) must be in OFF position.
Remove any batteries from the light and check if the mains voltage is the same
as indicated on the mains adapter. Plug the connecting cable in the socket (3)
(DC 5.8 – 16.8 V, 2.5 mm diameter, inside positive) and connect the adapter
to the mains. With mains operation the light can switched on for an unlimited
time.
