Proper use
•
The product is suitable for lighting outdoor areas. The storage
battery of the solar unit charges during the daytime via the
solar cell fi eld. The accumulated energy allows the LED light to
illuminate in the dark.
•
The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other
use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.
•
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts
at repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to
normal wear and tear.
Important notes
■
Attention! Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material
away from children and animals.
■
The product is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from
the product to avoid injury.
■
Do not disassemble the product (except for removing the sto-
rage battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the
product repaired by a qualifi ed workshop or by customer ser-
vice.
■
If a storage battery has leaked, ensure that the battery acid
does not come into contact with your skin, eyes, and mucous
membranes. In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the af-
fected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and seek
immediate medical attention.
■
Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in
fi re, immersed in liquids or short circuited.
■
Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.
■
Do not use the product if it exhibits damages.
■
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splash-proof.
■
In the event of extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or
if you do not intend to use the product for a prolonged period of
time, turn it off and store it in a dry place.
■
To enable an automatic activation of the LED light the product
should not be situated near other light sources such as street
lamps or other lamps.
■
Ensure that the solar fi eld is always clean in order to ensure
the greatest possible collection of light. Therefore, clean it oc-
casionally with a damp cloth.
■
Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to
clean the product! They could damage the surface.
■
Use suitable mounting material to hang up the product.
■
Hang the product in a place that is safe, secure and dry.
■
Before you drill a hole, ensure that there are no pipes or other
lines beneath the intended drilling site.

Start-up
•
The storage battery of the solar unit must charge for
approximately 6 to 8 hours in order for the LED light
to illuminate.
•
The small red light is activated at day and night, if the
article is switched on.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove any protective foils
(e.g. from the solar fi eld). Check all parts for any damages from
transport. Should you identify any transport damages, please
promptly consult customer service.
2. Insert the swivel joint in the receptacle on the bottom side of
the solar light.
3. Position the solar light in a place where the solar fi eld can coll-
ect direct sunlight during the whole day preferably (ideally in
open areas, not underneath trees etc.). You have two options
to place the solar light:
a) Use the wall holder to mount the solar light over the garage,
the entrance of your house etc.:
– Use the enclosed fastening material to mount the wall holder.
The type of mounting material depends on the composition
of your wall. Please also be absolutely sure to observe the
safety notes for mounting.
– Insert the solar light with the swivel joint in the receptacle on
the wall holder.
b) Use the ground spike to place the solar light in the garden,
fl ower bed etc.: To do so, insert the ground spike in the recep-
tacle on the swivel joint. Now you can put the solar light in the
ground.
4. The On/Off switch is located on the bottom side of the solar
unit. Set the On/Off switch to the ON position to activate the
solar unit: Sunlight will now charge the storage battery of the
solar unit. At dusk, the light will automatically turn on. At dawn,
the light will turn off and the storage battery will be recharged
via the solar fi eld.
5. To turn the solar unit off, set the On/Off switch to the OFF
position.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pa-
ckaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it
available to the collection service for recyclable materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly man-
ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.
Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and elect-
ronic equipment. For more information, please contact the
administration in your community.
Batteries and storage batteries must be removed and dis-
posed of separately before disposing of the product. To pro-
tect the environment, batteries and storage batteries may
not be disposed of together with normal household was-
te. Instead they must be turned in at appropriate collection
points. Be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on
battery disposal.
Removing the storage battery: Loosen the screws on the
bottom side of the solar unit and remove the cover. After-
wards, you can carefully remove the storage battery and
dispose of it.
