Instructions for Use
Preheating
When using for the first time, clean the two plates with a cloth or a damp sponge. Lightly grease the plates
with butter or cooking oil; the appliance can emit smoke and odour, open the appliance and allow it to heat
for at least 5 minutes without food. It is advisable to open the windows to eliminate smoke and odours due to
the heating of the internal components.
Place the appliance on a flat, smooth and heat-resistant surface.
Check that the power cable is not in contact with hot parts.
Operation
Insert the plug in the power socket, the pilot light will switch on (green light).
The appliance starts to preheat; when the cooking temperature is reached, then the ready light (red light) will
come on and the appliance is ready for use.
When the operating light switch off, the appliance has reached the maximum temperature.
Place the dough inside the lower plate and close the plates of the appliance, compressing slightly.
Be careful not to touch the hot parts of the appliance.
Warning: do not put too much dough on the plates, if it is difficult to close the plates do not force
but remove a little dough.
The waffle is cooked on average in 2-3 minutes. Check the right cooking by adjusting according to your
tastes.
During cooking the thermostat turns on and off, the same do to the operating light, this is normal.
After cooking, remove the waffle from the plate by rolling it on the supplied special cone-shaped accessory,
in order to give it the typical shape of the ice cream cone, or use a wooden spatula (not supplied) to remove
the waffle and give the desired shape.
During this operation, be very careful not to touch the hot parts of the appliance.
Do not use metal spatulas or knives as they could damage the plate coating.
After cooking, disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet.
If necessary, to move the appliance only use the thermal insulating handle, the parts of the appliance may
be very hot.
Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation, disconnect the appliance from the power supply
and wait for the appliance to cool completely.
Clean the plates and the outside with a damp cloth.
Avoid using sharp metal tools or abrasive products as they could damage the coating of the plates.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
The appliance can also be stored in an upright position, if completely cold and not in use.
