Safety Warnings
Dear Consumer, thank you for choosing one of our products. Yours accessory has been designed,
manufactured and tested with care and in compliance of all the strictest regulations in force. We
remind you to read carefully for your safety and that of all travelers. Keep this installation manual of
your accessory in your vehicle. Carefully read this manual before assembling the accessory, as well
as the load. Remember to always respect the legislation in force in the country of destination.
INSTALLATION
• The accessory is compatible with all R-Bikes.
• Install the accessory carefully as indicated in the instructions booklet supplied.
• Check that all the parts specified there are present. Do not install and use the product if any of its
accessories are missing.
• Do not modify or tamper with the accessory under any circumstances.
• Do not assemble or use the product if you have any doubts about how it should be assembled.
Should this occur, consult your local dealer.
• After fitting the accessory onto the vehicle, make sure that it is properly secured by pulling/
pushing it hard in all directions. If you can move it, that means that the accessory has to be fixed
more firmly.
• Do the same once the load has been placed onto the accessory. Remarks: Make sure that the
final fitting position of the product does not restrict the operation of the windshield wiper (if any).
• Make sure that the tow hitch (if any) can be easily reached. Ensure the angular mobility of the
trailer (DIN 74058).
LOAD
• Before placing the load onto the accessory, consult the use & maintenance manual of the vehicle
to verify its capacity.
• Make sure that the load complies with the information in the use and installation booklet of the
R-Bike onto which the accessory will be fitted.
• Never exceed the load limit of the accessory.
• Place the load onto the product so that it does not protrude underneath of the vehicle loading
floor. Make sure that the load centre is as low as possible and that the centre of gravity is between
the utility roof racks. Remember that you should always observe the legislation in force in the
country of destination.
• Make sure that no part of the load comes into contact with the door of the vehicle and can
damage it.
• Before hitting the road, make sure that everything is properly fastened and tightened. On a regular
basis during the trip, check that straps, nuts, and bolts in general as well as the handholds of the
load are correctly tightened/bolted. Repeat the operation at regular intervals depending on the
type of road.
• Protruding load signals must be displayed to warn that the accessory is fitted. All appropriate
precautions must be taken so as not to pose a risk to other vehicles. Loads must not cover
any light devices (position lights), the visual signalling devices (brake, third light brake, and turn
indicators) and the vehicle number plate.
