6. Fully open the tap on the red cartridge holder base in a counter-clockwise direction.
7. Open the valve handwheel moderately (half a turn) anticlockwise and approach a flame to the spout,
taking extreme care.
8. Open the tap fully to obtain maximum torch power.
9. Keep the cartridge in a vertical position. Never tilt the cartridge to avoid liquid gas escaping.
10. At the end of the job, always close the tap on the red cartridge holder base and then the tap on the
torch (to avoid leaving gas in the hose).
11. At the end of the job, the nozzle will be very hot; keep it in a safe place away from any flammable
material.
