The aim of the game is to develop motor
skills, memory, concentration and hand-
eye co-ordination. For 1-6 players.

GAMES SUGGESTIONS
Using the die
Shuffle all ten cards. Each player chooses one card. Place a wooden rod and the card in the
slot provided. Throw the die. If the colour and bead match on the card then the appropriate
bead can be put on the rod. The player who chooses a card without any colour is allowed to
place any bead, corresponding with the shape on the card, on the rod. The winner is the
person who places all the beads according to the card, on their rod.
Note: the wooden cards are an intentionally tight fit in the groove to keep them upright. Cards
can be held or put flat on the table if this is easier for players than putting them in the groove.
Descriptive Game
Choose a card. The cards must be arranged so that only the player sitting opposite can see the
card. Each player has to explain and describe which bead has to put on the rod to the player
opposite. The winner is the player who finishes first.
Memory Game
One player picks a card and is only allowed a brief look at it. The player must then remember to
place the bead corresponding to the card on the rod. The winner is the person who has
threaded the most beads correctly.
Feeling Game
Place a cloth (not included) over the beads or place them in a bag. Identify the correct bead by
touch and place it on the rod according to the card. Any player who takes an incorrect bead
must put this back. Colours are not important in this game variation. The winner, as always, is
the player who has threaded all the beads according to the card.
Using the threading string
To practise fine motor skills players can the thread the beads on the string according to the card
rather than on the rod. Line the cards up horizontally. The player then has to re-think and
thread the beads vertically. Players can paint their own cards to introduce further game
variations.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
: Use the games box provided to store all the contents
together. Wipe the pieces with a clean, slightly damp cloth.
