• Use the appliance only for the purpose it is intended for as specified in this manual.
Never use the appliance for any other purpose.
• Allow the appliance to cool down prior to its maintenance or storage.

and the accessories (e.g. food deterioration, injury, burning, scalding, fire)
apply in the case of non–compliance with the safety instructions above.
II. DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROLS

III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before the first use, wash the parts that will be in contact with food in hot water with
a detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, wipe till dry or let it dry. After lapse of the
time, let the pot cool down and then pour the remaining water from the pot. Leave free
space for due ventilation. The electric socket must be easily accessible so that the
appliance can be easily disconnected from power supply if danger appears. Fully insert the
end of the power cord A6 into an electric power socket. Turn on the device by switching
the A4 button. Indicator light A2 is switched on.
Assembly of the individual parts
Insert the cooking pot B into case A. Keep turning with the cooking pot slightly, until you
make sure that it is positioned (seated) properly on the heating unit. Then place in the lid C.
Use a suitable fabric or paper towel to clean the top edge of the cooking pot B and any
other parts that have got soiled by food while the cooking pot was being filled
(e.g. the outer bottom). Make sure that there are no food remains on the heating plate.
Proceed in reverse order to disassemble/remove (or assemble) all the components.
The total amount of ingredients together with water must not exceed the 1.5 l mark in the
cooking pot. When preparing food, which increases in volume during the cooking process,
do not fi ll the cooking pot over the 0.8 l mark. However the amount of food being cooked
must not be less than indicated by the 0.4 l mark (pic. 2).
Preparation of rice
Put washed rice into the cooking pot and add the required amount of water (e.g. when
preparing 4 measuring cups of dry rice, add water up to level 4 on the scale inside
the pot). Add salt to the rice, or season it to suit your taste. Assemble the cooker as per
the instructions above. The outside of the cooking pot B must be dry at all times! If this
surface is wet or moist, there might be noise while cooking. Press the switch A3. Indicator
light A1 indicates cooking.
