Facade panel ELS-FB black / ELS-FB-F black / ELS-FB-P black
1.1 Important information
To ensure safety and correct operation please read and observe the following instructions carefully before proceeding
1.2 Warranty claims – Exclusion of liability
All versions of this documentation must be observed, otherwise the warranty shall cease to apply. The same applies
to liability claims against Helios. The use of accessory parts, which are not recommended or offered by Helios, is not
permitted. Any possible damages are not covered by the warranty.
1.3 Regulations - Guidelines
If the product is installed correctly and used to its intended purpose, it conforms to all applicable regulations and CE
guidelines at its date of manufacture.
1.4 Receipt
The shipment must be checked for damage and correctness immediately upon delivery. If there is any damage, prompt-
ly report the damage with the assistance of the transport company. If complaints are not made within the agreed period,
any claims could be lost.
1.5 Shipment:
The delivery contains one of the following unit types:

ELS-FB black
ELS-FB-F black
ELS-FB-P black
When ordering the accessory component ELS-FB.. black, the facade frame black, the facade black and the filter clea-
ning indicator are included in the scope of delivery. ELS-FB.. black is a replacement panel without a filter or screws.
The filter and screws for fastening the facade panel are not included in the scope of delivery.
The filter and screws must be taken from the fan unit ELS-V.. or ELS EC.. (alpine white) and inserted in the
facade panel ELS-FB.. black.
2.1 Filter replacement
The Installation instructions and specifications for mounting the presence or humidity sensor for ELS-FB-P and
ELS-FB-F can be found in the respective installation and operating instructions for the fan unit ELS-V.. or ELS
EC.. .
Operation of the fan unit ELS-V.. or ELS EC.. without a filter is not permitted!
1. Open facade:
Use both index fingers to grip the left and right sides of the lower edge of the facade between the facade frame and
the facade (see Fig.1). Simultaneously press on the facade surface with your thumbs and pull it towards you. This
releases the catches on both sides and the facade can be opened (see Fig.2).
2. Remove filter from facade frame and insert:
In order to remove the filter from the fan unit ELS-V.. or ELS EC.. (alpine white), pull on one of the four pins, unlock
the side catches and carefully remove the filter (see Fig.3).
You can then use the removed filter in the facade panel ELS-FB.. black. To do this, open the facade ELS-FB.. black
as described in point 1. Insert the filter (see Fig.4) and lock the side catches (see Fig.3). Close the facade.
