HANDCUFFING A SUSPECT:
Place the jaw of the handcuff against the suspect's wrist and press the jaw into the cheek to
tighten the cuff against the skin. Be careful that the skin is not pinched in the jaws and that
blood circulation is not impeded. The jaw locks in the ratchet and the cuff now can be opened
only by using the opening lever. Apply the other cuff in a similar manner.
LOCK:
Push the locking lever down to its lowest position (1).
Place the handcuff around the person's wrist and press
the jaw into the cheek. Close the handcuff as tightly as
necessary. Push the locking lever to the top position (2).
Now the jaw can no longer be moved.
UNLOCKING THE HANDCUFFS:
To open the handcuff, push down the locking lever (1).
Push down the opening lever and hold it (2). Now you can
pull the jaw out of the cheek.
