IR-4Switch uses the same IR signals as IR-EASY.
There are 4 IR device addresses possible which allows to operate
up to 4 IR-4Switch devices in the same room.
You can also use the Signals of the IRS IR Power Socket (ext.
Contact).
Simple programming of the IR address through remote control.

Setting the IR Device Address
If you are planning to use more than one IR-4Switch in the same
room, each one must be set to a different IR address.
The setting can be done by sending an IR signal from the remote
control to the IR-4Switch within the first 10 sec. after the IR-
EASY is plugged in (blue LED (2) is on).

remote control regarding this

2. Plug in the IR-4Switch to the
power supply, the blue LED is
now on for 10s.
3. Now send an IR-4Switch signal
to set the IR address. (IRS Signals do not work at this point)
IR-4Switch will now work with the signals of that IR device
address.
After 10s or when a valid IR signal was received the blue LED
flashes x times (x = address). If there is no signal received, IR-
4Switch keeps the last stored address.
Please make sure that only one IR-4Switch is powered when
setting the device address!
How it work
- IR-4Switch uses the same IR signals as IR-EASY.
- As soon as IR-EASY receives an IR signal the green LED starts
flashing. It also flashes if any IR signal is received.
- If a valid signal is received (correct IR-address) the blue LED of
the switch output lights up additionally.
- If only the green LED flashes please make sure the IR-EASY is
set to the correct address.
Use with IR-EASY Signals
- Please see the used buttons of the remote control in the
manual of the remote.
- For each IR address you can use the signals linked to the
buttons 1 .. 4 for the corresponding switch output.
- The switch output remains switched as long as the IR signal
is received.
Use with IRS Signals
- Please see the used buttons of the remote control in the
manual of the remote.
- IRS Signals can only be used in IR-Adr. 1.
- The switch output remains switched as long as the IR signal
is received.
- The 4 signals of the external contact of the IRS power
socket will also switch the corrsponding switch output in
the IR-4Switch, z.B. IRS Ext. 1 = IR-4Switch Output 1.
Safety and Mounting Instructions
- IR-4Switch may only be used in dry rooms.
- Cleaning only when not connected to power supply and only
with a clammy cloth.
- If there is a LED / LCD TV in the same room make sure to test
the functionality of IR-Easy when the TV is running. These
devices can transmit infrared light which can interfere with
the reception of IR-4Switch.
- Position IR-4Switch so that it is not directly under synthetic
light or in sunlight, this can lower the reception of the IR
receiver.
