Troubleshooting

Use the following measures to solve problems you may
experience with your printer. If the problem persists,
contact your dealer for information on what to do next.
• Cannot operate the printer after the power switch is
turned on.
m Connect the AC power cord to an AC outlet
securely.
m If the (power) indicator flashes and the printer
is communicating with the computer, you cannot
operate the buttons on the printer. Wait until the
communication is over.
• The television displays no images.
m Set the TV/VIDEO selector of the television to
"VIDEO."
m Press the INPUT button to turn on the indicator of
the proper input mode (pages 25, 31, 39).
m Turn on the printer and connected devices
including the television, the digital camera or the
video equipment.
m Connect the printer to the television, the digital
camera, video equipment, or the computer
properly. Or insert the Smart Media properly
(pages 14 to 18).
m Are images stored in the Smart Media?
m Playback the images with the video equipment.
m If the television screen appears blue and the
(power) indicator and
flash, the printer is communicating with the
computer. Wait until the communication is over.
• Cannot remove the ink ribbon cartridge.
m Turn the printer off then on. After the motor
sound stops, try to remove the cartridge (page 21).
