NSTALLATION
·
Switch off the fire panel (mains and batteries).
·
Mount the metal printer controller carrier and the controller as
indicated in Figures 2, 3 and 4. Install different spacers,
stand-offs and washers as indicated in Figure 3.
·
Mount the printer chassis as indicated in Figures 2, 3 and 4.
·
Connect the printer controller to the printer chassis. Note that
this cable must be crossed (the black wire is on the left at
controller side and on the right at the chassis side). Two cable
lengths are provided: a short one for the small housing
(Figure 2) and a long one for the large housing (Figure 4).
·
Connect the 5 V connector on the printer controller (J1) to the
Molex plug located on the Host Power Supply PCB. (If the
Host Power Supply has no 5 V connector as indicated, please
contact your local Aritech supplier.)
·
The DIP switch settings on the printer controller PCB as
shown in Figure 1:

Connect the panel CPU and printer by means of the cable
supplied with the printer. Depending on the CPU type installed
in the panel (FC2000 or FC2011), the required data cable
either uses an inline 9-pin Molex connector or a 9-pin d-type
connector on the CPU side. If the panel uses an FC2000
CPU, disconnect one of the external RS232-ports (port 2 or
port 3) on the Host-CPU Board and use this port as the printer
interface.

Connect the serial data cable to the D-type connector on the
printer controller PCB and the free serial port on the Host-
CPU Board.

OFTWARE ETTINGS
· In the 2000 Series Fire Panels/Repeaters a serial port (1 or 2)
has to be allocated to "Event Printer" or "Report Printer".

To correspond with the DIP switch settings as shown in
Figure 1, the protocol should be set as follows:
- 9 600 baud
- 8 bits - 1 stop bit - no parity, Internal Printer
(Refer to the FP2000 Reference Guide for further information)

Note: SER1 in the software settings correspond to Port2 on
the PCB. SER2 in the software settings correspond to Port3
on the PCB.

Schalten Sie die Brandmeldezentrale aus (Netz und Batterie).
·
Bauen Sie den Metallhalter für den Drucker-Controller und
den Drucker-Controller selbst wie beschrieben ein. (Siehe
Abb. 2,3 und 4). Achten Sie sorgfältig auf die Anordnung der
verschiedenen Abstandshalter,
Unterlegscheiben wie in Abb. 3 beschrieben.
·
Bauen Sie das Druckerchassis wie angegeben ein. (Siehe
Abb. 2,3 und 4).
·
Verbinden Sie Drucker und Controller über das Kabel mit den
Molex-Steckverbindern. Achten Sie darauf, daß dieses Kabel
so eingesetzt werden muß, daß die schwarze Ader am
Controller links und am Drucker rechts liegt. Es werden zwei
verschiedene Kabel mitgeliefert: ein kurzes für das kleinere
Gehäuse (Abb. 1) und ein langes für das große Gehäuse
(Abb. 3).
· Verbinden Sie den
Spannungsversorgung am Drucker-Controller (J1) mit dem
Molex-Steckverbinder auf der Leiterplatte des Host-Netzteils.
·
(Wenn das Host-Netzteil Ihrer Zentrale nicht über einen
Anschluß für die 5 V Spannungsversorgung verfügt, wenden
Sie sich bitte an den nächsten Aritech Händler.)
·
Die DIP-Schalter auf der Leiterplatte des Drucker-Controllers
sind wie folgt einzustellen: (siehe Bild 1)
· Verbinden Sie den Drucker mit der CPU Platine, verwenden
Sie eines der mitgelieferten Kabel. Je nach Typ der CPU
Platine (FC2000 oder FC2011) ist ein „Inline 9 poliger Molex"
Stecker, oder ein 9 poliger Typ D-Stecker auf der CPU Seite
erforderlich. Wenn eine FC2000 CPU vorhanden ist, ziehen
Sie einen der beiden externen RS-232 (Port 2 oder 3) auf der
Host-CPU-Karte ab und nutzen diesen als Drucker Port.
·
Verbinden Sie das serielle Datenkabel mit dem Sub-D-
Steckverbinder auf der Leiterplatte des Drucker-Controllers
sowie der freien seriellen Schnittstelle auf der Host-CPU-
Karte.

OFTWARE INSTELLUNGEN
· In der BMZ FP2000 / Repeater FR2000 muß die serielle
Schnittstelle (1 oder 2) dem ‚Ereignisdrucker' oder dem
‚Protokolldrucker' zugewiesen werden.

Entsprechend den unten angegebenen Einstellungen der DIP-
Schalter ist das Protokoll wie folgt:
- 9 600 Baud
- 8 Datenbits - 1 Stoppbit – keine Parität, interner Drucker
