CABLE REEL SER. 782

Mounting instructions
The cable reel is designed for wall or ceiling mounting.
Select a level surface on which to mount the reel. Ensure
that suitable fixing bolts are used and that they are secured.
The bolts must each stand a torque force of minimum
1900 N. Mount the reel according to the illustrations on
the side of the packing. Weight, reel incl. cable: 6,0 kg.
Electrical installation
NB! Main circuit connection must be done by a qualified
installation contractor. Choose a connecting cable with at
least the same design and quality as for the distribution
cable. Unscrew the cover and connect the cable conductors
to the terminal block.
The following applies if an outlet socket is to be fitted:
- A minimum protection class of IPX4 to be used.
- The earth (yellow/green cable) should be connected to
the applicable terminal in the outlet socket.
- Strain relief and flexible cable sheaths should be secured.
Ratchet device
The reel´s ratchet device locks the
cable in the desired outdrawn
position. The ratchet device is
released when the cable is
pulled out slightly further and
the cable is then automatically
recoiled. The ratchet function can easily be disengaged by
pushing the hook on the reel (see fig.) and turn it clockwise.
By turning the hook anticlockwise the ratchet can be re-
moved completely.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury !
Before dismantling any part of the reel,
for example when changing cable:
- Disconnect power supply
- Release spring tension by removing the cable stop
and allow the cable to recoil completely
Thermal overload protector
(only on reels for 250 V)
The cable reel is equipped with a thermal overload protector
which means that the power will disconnect automatically
should the reel be overloaded.
The overload protector is easily re-set by using the push
button on the drum lid. However, any products connected to
the cable reel must be disconnected first.
The following maintenance is recommended to
be accomplished regularly or at least once a year:
- Check the spring function by testing if the cable
recoils properly.
- Check that the cable is intact. Clean the cable if it is
oiled or dirty.
- Check the reels ratchet mechanism.
- Check the mounting of the reel on wall or ceiling.

Montageanleitung
