DHCP Server
Here you can switch the DHCP server for the WLAN
HDD Adapter on or off.
Enable the DHCP server to operate the WLAN
•
HDD Adapter as an access point that allocates ac-
tive IP addresses to clients that connect with the
DHCP server.
Disable the DHCP server to manually allocate
•
the IP addresses to the clients. The IP address must
be within the address range that you can define for
the active DHCP server (see next section)
DHCP server activated:
 In the event of an active DHCP server, you can view
the devices currently connected to the WLAN HDD
Adapter via the option Client List .
 You can set the IP address range under Start Ad-
dress and End Address within which the
DHCP server allocates IP addresses to clients.
 Enter the IP address under which the access point
for the WLAN HDD Adapter is to be accessible un-
der Gateway.
NOTE!
The IP address for the gateway must be outside
of the IP address range for the DHCP server.
