Intended use:
The bathboard is a medical device and can allow showering at the
height of the bathtub edge. The curved shape facilitates washing
of the body, the handle provides additional support.
Indication:
(movement) restricted muscle, joint function of the lower extremi-
ties with maintained usability of the upper extremities and existing
stable trunk posture
Contraindication:
Insufficient trunk stability / function of the upper extremities; insuf-
ficient physical or mental capacity to use the tool
Versions:
There are different models or sizes (see technical data), the
selection of the appropriate board should be done together with
the specialist staff. The testing, assembly and instruction in use
must only be carried out by authorized, trained specialists. The
bathboard should only be used with the help of an accompanying
person/caregiver. The model is designed for domestic use, must
only come into contact with intact, uninjured skin and must not be
used across patients. Any use other than that mentioned above is
not intended. Sundo GmbH is not liable for any resulting damages,
the risk is borne exclusively by the user. In the event of serious
incidents related to this product, please inform the manufacturer or
the competent authority.
Before first use / maintenance:
First, read the instruction for use in its entirety and keep it until the
end of the product life. Please check if the product is undamaged
before first and any use by visual inspection. In case of signs of
damage or wear, the board must not be used (any longer). Further
maintenance is not required if the safety instructions are observed.
Assembly:
► The handle is fixed to the bottom of the board with the help
of the 2 plastic screws (e.g. with the help of a coin). The board
is placed on the edge of the bathtub so that the handle is
opposite the entry side.
► Then mount the feet by inserting the plastic screws into the
long holes from above and inserting the rubber washer from
below. Then plug in the clamping pin also from below and
tighten it clockwise by carefully turning it. Adjust the feet so
that the board in the bathtub cannot be pushed back and forth
on the side and that all 4 feet have contact with the inside wall
of the bathtub. Both ends of the bathtub board must lie on the
edge of the bathtub. Then finally tighten the screws.
Ensure that the bathboard is firmly seated!
Use:
► Before each use check the tight fit of the board. If the board
can be moved, the four clamping screws have to be tightened
again. Always use the help of a trained caregiver and sit down
carefully in the middle of the board. Hold the handle with one
hand, raise your legs and turn into the bathtub. Always sit
down upright in the middle of the board, otherwise there is
tilting and slipping hazard!
After performing the body care leave the tub in reverse order.
Cleaning / disinfection:
Any impurities that are recognizable should be removed imme-
diately after use with a damp cloth and suitable mild cleaner
or soapy liquor to avoid drying. (Attention, do not use oily or
fatty detergents, risk of slipping!) Rinse thoroughly with water
afterwards. Disinfect the bath board with a commercially available,
chlorine-free device disinfectant before first use and after each ap-
plication. Important: please observe the manufacturer's application
regulations.
Advice: The Bathboard »PLUS« must only come into contact with
intact, uninjured skin. According to the „Guideline of DGKH, DGSV,
AK: Validation and routine monitoring of thermal cleaning and dis-
infection processes for medical devices..." the application of an A0
value of 600 is required. The bathboards are (e.g. 10 min. / 80 °C or
1 min. / 90 °C). The bathing boards are autoclavable up to 130 °C.

Safety instructions:
► Use the bathtub board only if a caregiver helps you to get in
and out, as well as when sitting down and getting up.
(Assistance only from authorized, trained professionals)
► The bath board must only be used by one person!
► The user's body weight must not exceed 150 kg!
► The bathtub board must only be used by people who can
control their balance while sitting!
► If parts of the bathtub board are damaged, bent or deformed,
it must no longer be used!
► Check the tight fit of the board before using it!
► Soap and shampoo increase the risk of slipping, please do not
use oily or greasy shower or cleaning products!
► The bathtub board is not suitable for longer sitting than
necessary
► All 4 clamping pins must be attached to the inner sides of the
bathtub For optimum safety, check the clamping pins regularly
and, if necessary, have them replaced by specialist retailers!
Only use original spare parts!
Warranty: According to the statutory warranty claims.
Excluded from the guarantee are defects resulting out of
natural wear and tear, intent, negligence or improper handling
or use and defects which affect the value or usability of the
tool only insignificantly. We reserve the right of modifications
serving the technical improvement.
