Battery selection and management
This section refers exclusively to rechargeable, wet-cell lead-acid batteries, for example car,
tractor, truck, marine or specialist deep-cycle batteries.
The battery you select will depend on whether your installation is a battery-only or a solar
installation. For both types of installation, the position of the energiser selector switch will
determine the size of battery and solar panel required. Refer to "Operation" for an explana-
tion of the function of the selector switch.
Battery selection for a battery-only energiser
As a guide, the amp hour (Ah) rating of the 12 V lead-acid battery required for each model is
shown below. The table is based on an operating period of 14 days with full power and fast
pulse.
