Functions and features
The encoder transforms rotational movement into pulse sequences.
They allow the measurement of linear distances and angular move-
ments as well as the detection of positions.
• Supply voltage and resolution (pulses per revolution) as indicated on
the type label
• Pulse frequency 300 kHz (5 V version) and 160 kHz (10...30 V version)

Installation
Disconnect power. The drive must not be started during installa-
tion.

Encoder and drive should be connected by means of a flexible coupling
in order to avoid damage to the shaft and the bearing.
In the case of linear measurement with rack and pinion the angle flange
should be mounted on a resilient base. In the case of linear measure-
ment with a measuring wheel encoder and measuring wheel should be
mounted on the end of a flexible arm.
