Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Schwaiger
ZHS24 product. Below you will find useful operating guidelines.
Inclusion or exclusion of the siren
By pressing the action button 1x you confirm the inclusion or exclusion
of the device.
Product description
The siren is only intended for use in dry rooms. As part of the Home4you network,
the siren can signal any incident occurring with a flashing light and a loud alarm tone.
Configuration settings
Teach-in / Inclusion 1. Connect the siren to the 230V AC mains.
2. Set the gateway to inclusion mode.
3. Pressing the action button once puts the
siren into training mode.
Learn / Exclusion 1. Connect the siren to the 230V AC mains.
2. Set the gateway to exclusion mode.
3. Pressing the action button once removes the siren
from the Z-Wave network.
Press the action key Cancel the alarm
Press and hold the action Check the sound: The network LED flashes rapidly, the
key alarm tone is triggered after 5 to 8 seconds and all
LEDs flash simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Reset / 1. Connect the siren to the 230V AC mains.

resetting is confirmed by the network LED
(illuminated for 2 sec. long).
Note: The siren should be in the factory default state
when tuned in.

CAUTION! Operating the alarm siren
To avoid possible hearing damage, please wear suitable hearing protection for the
test. The ZHS24 siren emits sounds of up to 105 dB, which may damage hearing. To
test the siren manually, press and hold the action button for 5 seconds.
CAUTION!
The alarm is activated with a volume of up to 105 dB. This can cause fright. In the
immediate vicinity, hearing impairments are possible. Therefore, do not place the
appliance in a location where people can be located in close proximity. Keep away
from the unit during testing.
Disposal
Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal
household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and elec-
tronic devices and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to the point
of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose. Legis-
lation in the country of use governs individual details regarding disposal. The symbol
on the product, the user guide or the packaging indicates this legal requirement.
