SAFEGUARD
Electrical energy can perform many useful functions. This unit has been engineered and manufactured to assure
your personal safety. Improper use can result in potential electrical shock or fire hazards. In order not to defeat
the safeguards, observe the following instructions for its installation, use and servicing.
|
INSTALLATION
When installing the HGE-77 choose a place that satisfies
the following conditions.
1. Install it in a place out of direct sunlight and away
from stoves, etc.
See pages 32 and 33 for figures of this unit.
@) Equalizer controls/indicators
The audio frequency band (20 Hz— 20 kHz) is divided
into 10 bands, the controls providing a continuous
variation of + 10 dB about the center frequency of
each band. When a control is raised, the correspon-
ding frequency range is boosted, and when the con-
trol is lowered, it is attenuated.
For
details,
see
'Points
Regarding
Tone
Adjustment' (page 4).
When the controls are in the ''O"' (click) position, a
roughly flat response is obtained.
Note: If the Equalizer switch G) is OFF (11), the
tonal characteristics cannot be adjusted by mov-
ing the equalizer control knobs.
(2) Spectrum analyzer
The spectrum
analyser displays the signal level in
each frequency band, enabling you to check the fre-
quency distribution visually. You can also check the
effect of the equalizer.
