BEFoRE fitting the chest belt to any wheelchair/seating system, please consult the
wheelchair/seating system manufacturer's manual (or contact them) to find out if it is
acceptable to do so.
Solid Backrest Installation with Cam Buckles (Direct Mounting)
The following fitting instructions are only guidelines as seating systems vary according
to manufacturer.
1.
Identify mounting location for all four cam buckles on the backrest. Drill holes or
locate T-nut positions and fasten the cam buckles with appropriate screws or bolts
(not included). See Fig 1 & 2.
2.
Thread upper straps through upper cam buckles and lower straps through lower
cam buckles (Fig. 3).
3.
Place the harness over the user's head and shoulders. With the cam buckle open,
pull the strap for a secure fit to the occupant's and close the cam buckle to lock in
position. Repeat for all four straps.
