Coil over suspensions 29040-1/-2, 28760-1 & RSS-46-760-5/1

Attention: After installation wheel alignment and brake-power regulator have to be checked and
adjusted to the factory specifications if necessary. Headlights also have to be checked and adjusted if
necessary.

cover complete fitment and/or to regard every possible tolerance or source of error.
Front axle:
Before installation check for the correct
•
assignment of front shock absorbers:
29040-1: only für WRX STI:
shock absorbers 46 08 452-L1/1 and ...R1/1
with 30mm clearance between the clamp
bracket halves.
29040-2: shock absorbers 46 08 452-L2/1
and ...R2/1 with 25mm clearance between
the clamp bracket halves.
28760-1: only Impreza STI Type V1:
shock absorbers 4609452-L1/1 and ...R1/1.
RSS-46-760-5/1: only WRX STI V1:
shock absorbers 4609452-L1/1-CS
and ...R1/1-CS.
The bump rubber is fitted within the shock
•
absorber. Do not use the OE rubber (Pic. 1).
Only 28760-1 & RSS-46-760-5/1: The OE
•
spring plate is no longer used. Just the
support disc gets mounted above the
copacked spring plate (Pic. 2)
Measure the distance between the centre of
•
the upper shock absorber clamp bolt and top
of spring plate and adjust it if necessary.

Adjustment dimension FA:
•
29040-1/-2: 140 - 165 mm (s. part certificate)
28760-1: 120 - 140 mm (s. part certificate)
RSS-46-760-5/1: 110 - 130 mm

Rear axle:
The OE bump rubber has to be reused.
•
Replace these parts if not in a like-new
•
condition.
Measure the distance between the centre
•
of the shock absorber clamp bolt and the
top of the spring seat (pic 3.) and adjust it
if necessary (Pic. 3).
Adjustment dimension RA:
•
29040-1/-2: 80/90 - 110mm (s. part certificate)
28760-1: 80 - 100 mm (s. part certificate)
RSS-46-760-5/1: 80 - 100 mm
Final torque of the lower shock bracket must
•
be done with the car on the ground.
