Note: When using your Multigrill for the first time, it
is possible that you may smell some smoke or bur-
ning. This is normal for many electrical appliances
and does not affect the operation or safety of your
appliance.
HOW TO USE
Before using the appliance for the first time, remove
any packaging material and check that the cooking
grids are clean and free of dust. Clean the grills with
a damp cloth.
For best results spray oil on the grills.
USE AS A CONTACT GRILL
- Close the toaster grill and plug it into the wall soc-
ket; the red light comes on, indicating that the grill
has started to preheat.
- It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach
the optimum temperature. Preheating is complete
when the green light comes on.
- Open the grill, place the desired food on the lower
grill and close the grill.
- The green light will go out again, which means it
will start to heat up.
- Cook for approximately 3 to 8 minutes or until the
food is golden brown to your liking, the green light
will turn on again.
- When the food is ready use the handle to open the
grill. Remove the food with a plastic spatula. Do not
use any metal tools or knives as they may damage
the non-stick coating of the cooking plates.
- Once you have finished cooking, unplug the
appliance and leave it open to cool down.
USE AS AN OPEN GRILL
- Place the grill on a flat, clean surface.
- Press the red button on the right side (Fig A) and
open the grill 180° until it is completely flat (Fig B).
- The unit will remain in this position until you lift the
handle and lid to close it again.
- Use as an open grill for cooking fish, vegetables,
burgers, meat, boneless poultry (we do not recom-
mend cooking chicken on the bone as it does not
cook evenly on an open grill).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug the grill and allow it to cool before
cleaning.
- Wipe the cooking plates with a soft cloth to remo-
ve food residue.
- Do not use anything abrasive that may scratch or
damage the non-stick coating.
- Do not use metal utensils to remove food as they
may damage the non-stick surface.
- For stuck-on food residue, squeeze a little warm
water mixed with detergent over the food residue
and wipe with a non-abrasive sponge or place
damp kitchen paper on the grill to moisten the food
residue.
- Remove and empty the drip tray after each use
and wash the tray with warm soapy water. Avoid
using abrasive scouring pads or harsh detergents
as they may damage the surface. Rinse and dry
thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth and replace.
- Clean the outside of the grill t with a damp cloth
only. Do not clean the exterior with an abrasive
sponge or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.
- Never immerse the grill in water or place it in the
dishwasher.
STORAGE
- Always unplug the grill before storing.
- Always make sure the grill is cool and dry before
storing.
