Graphic Equalizer
Basic Operation
1.
Turn on the amplifier's POWER switch.
2.
Set the BASS and TREBLE controls on the amplifier to the center
positions.
The playback sound changes if the BASS and TREBLE controls are
moved after adjusting the equalizer settings. (The recorded sound
is not affected.)
3.
Turn on the equalizer's POWER switch.
The spectrum analyzer/graphic equalizer displays turn on.
One of the equalizer select indicators lights for each of the
equalizers.
4.
Use the EQ 1 SELECT and EQ 2 SELECT buttons to select the
mode. See the following section "Using the EQ 1 and EQ 2 SELECT
buttons".
5.
Start playing a source (CD, tape, etc.).
6.
Adjust the levels of the different frequency bands. See "Adjusting
the Equalizer Pattern".
7.
For recording, set the cassette deck to the recording mode.
Recording with the equalizer effect is not possible when using
the DUBBING and HIGH SPEED buttons on the cassette deck.
Using the EQ 1 and EQ 2 SELECT Buttons
Use the EQ 1 SELECT button to select the operating mode for Graphic
Equalizer 1.
Use the EQ 2 SELECT button to select the operating mode for Graphic
Equalizer 2.
The
operating
mode
switches
between
PASS
(playback/recording
without the graphic equalizer effect), LINE (playback with the graphic
equalizer effect), EQ REC (recording with the graphic equalizer effect)
each time the button is pressed.

itis not possible to set both graphic equalizers 1 and 2 to "LINE"
at the same time. The one fast set to "LINE"
is given priority.
(When one is set to "LINE", the other one is automatically set to
"PASS" if it was at "LINE".)
