Expert Opto Bridge 0400 is a connecting plug for the serial
interface of a PC. By its electrical isolated data transmission
it assures maximum protection against disruptions, failures
and damages on the interfaces, allowing a trouble-free
operation of connected devices.
1. Operations
Connect Expert Opto Bridge 0400 to the serial interfaces
of a PC and of the attached device. The optical transmitter
is immediatelty ready for operations. For data transmission
between two PCs, please deploy a null-modem as shown
in Fig. 1 (Abb. 1).
All functions of Expert Opto Bridge 0400 are possible
without external power supply, if the data line and two
handshakes are connected on each side.
The pins of the data line and handshakes are:
Side male female
Pin 6 (DSR), 5 (CTS), 3 (RxD) 20 (DTR), 4 (RTS), 2 (TxD)
Possibilities for external voltage supply are:
• Voltage between pin 11 and pin 23: Any voltage
between ±7 V and ±14 V without connecting power
to GND
• Pin 11 or 23: Any voltage between ±7 V and ±14 V
related to GND (GND: pin 7 to pin 15 possible)
