Field of application
Use the CFS 97-48 for coaxial cable with 4.9 mm dielelectrial
diameter. Compliance with EMC standards can only be reached with a
professional mounting to a cable with good shielding effectiveness. Such
cable shall have a Class A certification or even higher.
Stripping
Strip the cable with the BWZ 5-02 coax stripping tool.
Use the blade block with the stripping size 7/6 mm.
Make sure that you do not damage the inner conductor or the shielding
when stripping. If no BWZ 5-02 is available, strip the inner conductor 7
mm and the outer conductor 6 mm.
Where existing, remove the outer aluminium foil of the shielding.
For all cable types, now fold the braiding backwards over the outer
sheath.
Twisting on the plug
Important: For cables without bonded foil, pay attention to how the
inner foil is wound onto the dielectric. The foil must lie cleanly and
smoothly on the dielectric. Smooth it out if necessary. For cables with
glued foil, the winding direction does not matter.
Be sure to twist the compression connector in the winding direction.
Make sure that the winding direction of the foil is reversed at the other
end of the cable.
Twist the compression plug onto the cable until the dielectric is flush
with the inner ring of the compression plug.
Compressing the plug
Crimp the connector with the compression tool BWZ 7-00.
Make sure that the compression plug sits straight on the cable in the
compression tool to ensure a clean pressing.
