Do not place any objects on the product or hang any objects (e.g.
decorative material) on the product. There is a risk of fire!
Attention LED light:
Do not look into the LED light beam!
-
Do not view directly or with optical instruments!
-
The LED bulbs cannot be replaced. If the fixture comes into contact
with moisture, allow the fixture to dry completely before returning it to
service.
Avoid using the product near strong magnetic fields, such as near
machinery or loudspeakers.
The product is designed according to protection class III.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries.
Remove the batteries if you do not use the device for a longer period of
time to avoid damage due to leakage. Leaking or damaged batteries
can cause acid burns if they come into contact with the skin. You should
therefore wear protective gloves when handling damaged batteries.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying
around freely, as they could be swallowed by children or pets.
All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new
batteries in the instrument may cause battery leakage and damage the
instrument.
Do not disassemble, short circuit or dispose of batteries in fire. Never
attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Consult a professional if you have any doubts about the operation,
safety or connection of the product.
Have maintenance, adjustment and repair work performed exclusively
by a specialist or a specialist workshop.
If you still have questions that are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical support or other professionals.
Function of the integrated PIR motion detector
The PIR sensor integrated in the product reacts to temperature changes
within the detection range. This is the case, for example, when a human
or an animal whose temperature differs from the ambient temperature
enters the detection range.
To ensure optimal detection, the product should be placed so that the
object to be detected does not approach the motion detector, but
crosses the detection area from left to right or vice versa. Pay attention
to this when mounting the product.
In general, IR sensors detect motion more easily in cold and dry
environments than in wet and warm environments. The range for
detecting a temperature change depends on several factors.
Detection of a change in heat through glass is not possible. If the PIR motion
detector is directed at a door or window, for example, or at a radiator,
electrical devices or similar, false triggering may occur.
Insert / change batteries
Remove the mounting plate at the bottom by sliding it slightly downward
in the guide grooves with two fingers. If the sensor light is already
installed, pull it off the mounting plate towards the top.
Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment with correct polarity
(observe plus/+ and minus/-).
Push the mounting plate back in until it is firmly seated.
Change the batteries as soon as the luminosity of the LEDs decreases
significantly and/or if the PIR sensor no longer detects motion.
Commissioning and operation
After inserting the batteries, the LED of the sensor light lights up for approx. 3sec.
and is ready for operation afterwards.
Using the PIR sensor
Placement: Choose a suitable place where you want to place the sensor light.
Keep in mind that the PIR sensor detects movement in a specific area. Make
sure that the sensor is not blocked by obstacles.
The sensor light switches on in a dark environment as soon as the infrared
sensor registers a movement. It switches off again after a certain time (approx.
1min.) after registering this movement. If motion is detected again during this
time, the time starts running again from this point, so that the switch-on time
increases accordingly. In a sufficiently bright environment, the built-in lux
automatic prevents the activation of the infrared sensor.
The sensor light does not work in daylight. The brightness in the environment
must have fallen below a certain value for this.
Recycling, disposal, declaration of conformity
RECYCLING
The packaging materials can be recycled. Therefore it is recommended
to dispose of them in sorted waste
DISPOSAL
The "crossed-out wheeled garbage can" symbol requires the separate
disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Electrical
and electronic equipment may contain hazardous and environmentally
dangerous substances. Therefore, do not dispose of this in unsorted
residual waste, but at a designated collection point for waste electrical
and electronic equipment. By doing so, you will be helping to protect
resources and the environment. For further information, please contact
your dealer or the local authorities. Directive 2012/19/EU
