Rauscharmer
Kleinsignal
Vorverstärker zur Empfindlichkeitserhöhung
bei Feldstärkemessungen und allgemeinen
Dämpfungsmessungen von 18 bis 26.5 GHz
(nomineller Frequenzbereich). Zum Betrieb ist
eine Stromversorgung (z.B. Labornetzteil,
Akku oder optionales Steckernetzteil) 12 V /
300 mA erforderlich.
Ein- und Ausgang des Breitbandverstärkers
sind empfindlich gegen elektrostatische Ent-
ladungen. Daher sind entsprechende Vorkeh-
rungen (Entladen von Koaxkabeln und gela-
denen Personen) unbedingt unmittelbar vor
Berühren des Verstärkers durchzuführen!
Eingang und Ausgang des Verstärkers sind
mit einer SMA-Buchse ausgestattet. Zur Ver-
bindung des Verstärkereingangs mit der An-
tenne wird ein Mikrowellenkabel von 0.5 m
Länge mitgeliefert, welches mit SMA-Steckern
ausgestattet ist. Der Verstärker ist zur Monta-
ge auf einem Stativ bzw. Antennenmast mit
3/8"-Kameragewinde vorgesehen. Die Anten-
ne
wird
ebenfalls
Kreuzgriffschraube am Verstärker montiert.
Durch eine weitere Kreuzgriffschraube mit
Lochkreis und Paßstiften kann sehr schnell
die Polarisation der Antenne in 45°-Schritten
vestellt werden.
Bei der Montage der Antenne ist unbedingt
darauf zu achten, daß das Mikrowellenkabel
weder geknickt noch verdreht werden darf.
Daher wird empfohlen, daß die Antennen-
buchse in die entgegengesetzte Richtung zum
Eingang des Verstärkers zeigt. Auf diese
Weise kann ein weiter Biegeradius des Ka-
bels sichergestellt werden.

26.5 GHz (nominal frequency range). A
power supply with 12 V / 300 mA DC
(e.g. optional AC/DC adaptor, laboratory
power supply, rechargeable battery) is
required for operation.
In- and Output of the Broadband Amplifi-
er are sensitive to Electrostatic Dis-
charge. Therefore some precaution (dis-
charging coaxial cables and persons) is
required before touching the amplifier!
The amplifier Input comes with SMA-
female connectors. A coaxial microwave
cable of 0.5 m length is supplied to con-
nect the Antenna with the Amplifier. The
cable is equipped with SMA-male con-
nectors. The amplifier is equipped with a
female 3/8" camera thread to be con-
nected to a mast, e.g. to AM 9144. The
antenna itself is mounted with another
3/8" screw at the amplifier base. The
polarisation
swivel
achieved within seconds by a further
screw in 45° steps using fixing bolts for
indexing.
It is very important to avoid bending and
torsion of the microwave cable, other-
wise persistent damage may be a result.
Therefore we recommend to mount the
antenna in a way that the antenna con-
nector points into the opposite direction
as the RF-Input of the amplifier. This
allows a smooth routing the microwave
cable with a wide bending radius.
