2. Audio Bus / MUTE Link
2.1 Cascading Multiple Units
Via the AUDIO BUS IN and OUT connectors (10.1 & 10.2) 16 units UM 4000 can be combined to one system
so that you have available max. 64 MIC/LINE and 48 AUX inputs.
The audio signal will be fed to the next unit via the "AUDIO BUS OUT" output (10.2).
Via the mute link connector (10.3) the different mute signals are passed to the other units. This allows i.e. that a
VOX priority of MIC1 not only mutes the inputs of the particular unit but also the inputs of the other units.
By internal jumpers you can select to what external mute signals a particular unit should react. You find more
details in chapter 3.5.
By shortening the mute link connector (10.3) all inputs of all connected units will be muted.
3. Audio Outputs
3.1 Connector
The master signal is available at the XLR connectors "OUT1 – OUT 4" (9)
OUT 3 and OUT 4 also supply the master signal at two unsymmetric RCA outputs.
3.2 Controls
The „MASTER 1" control (5.2) allows volume adjustment for "OUT 1" and "OUT 2",
while the „MASTER 2" control adjusts volume "OUT 3" and "OUT 4".
The signal level of the particular output is indicated by the LED bar (5.1).
