Safety instructions
In case of damage incurred by disregarding this instruction manual, the
warranty claim is void. Liability for any and all consequential damage is
excluded!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury,
caused by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The
warranty is voided in these cases.
The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of the product is
inadmissible because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
The product is designed in conformity with protection class 2. The only voltage
source that may be used is the correct mains socket-(230V/50Hz, with
protective conductor) of the public supply system.
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around. Children might try
to put objects through the openings of the socket for example. There is a risk
of a fatal electric shock.
The product must only be used in dry interiors, it must not get damp or wet.
Never touch the product or the mains plug into which you want to insert the
timer with damp or wet hands.
There is a risk of a fatal electric shock.
Never pull a mains plug connected to the outlet of the timer out of the outlet
by the cable. Always pull the plug from the socket by the gripping area provided
on the side.
Fans, heaters, fan heaters or radiators with open elements should not be
operated unattended. We recommend not connecting such devices to the
timer. Danger of fire!
Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy
for children!
Handle the product carefully, it can be damaged by impacts, strikes or by
falling from a low height.
If the housing of the product is damaged, do not use the product any more!
When it is connected to the mains, neither touch the time switch nor the
connected devices. First switch off the mains socket to which the timer is
connected (i.e. switch off the circuit breaker). Then you can unplug the timer
from the mains socket. Take the product to a specialist workshop or dispose
of it in an environmentally friendly way.

Initial operation
Plug the timer (without any device plugged in!) into a suitable mains socket (with a protective
earth conductor).
Selection between permanent operation and switching operation
There is a slide switch on the side for selecting the operating mode.
I
Position "
"
Continuous operation: Socket operated continuously; settings on the timer
are without function
Position "
"
Switching operation: Socket is activated/deactivated via the timer, depending
on the present settings.
Setting the time
Turn the outer setting ring with the hours printed on it clockwise until the marking " " in the
inner ring shows the current time.
Turn the setting ring only clockwise, it can be moved easily. It is not possible to
turn the ring counter-clockwise, do not force it! This would ruin the timer!
The timer only works when it is supplied with electricity, i.e. when it is connected to an active
mains socket.
Setting the on/off times
You can set the times for switching the connected device on and off with the 96 segments (4
per hour) in a 15-minutes raster. A segment pressed down activates the socket (voltage on),
a segment pushed upwards or pulled out switches the socket off (no voltage, the connected
device is off).
Example: If you wish a lamp to be switched on between 10 and 11 p.m., press the two
segments between 22:00 and 23:00 downwards. All the other segments must be pulled out.
Due to the design of time switch (mechanical drive and switching operation)
there may be deviations in the switching time. Deviations of a few minutes are
normal!
Connecting a device to the timer
Switch the consumer load off.
Plug the consumer into the socket on the front of the timer. Insert the plug all the way.
Switch the consumer on.
Depending on the setting of the switching segments on the timer, the consumer is
automatically turned on or off (slide switch on the side in position "
The consumer can also be activated manually by putting the slide switch on the side to the
I
position "
".
Maintenance and care
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never open it or take it apart.
Before cleaning the timer, disconnect it from the socket. Disconnect any connected consumer
from the timer. Clean the outer side with a dry, clean, soft cloth. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or solvents since these may damage the surface of the housing or impair its
operation.
WEEE Disposal notes
Used electrical and electronic devices may no longer be added to unsorted
waste according to European regulations. The wheeled bin symbol indicates
the need for separate collection. Also help with environmental protection and
make sure to put this unit in the separate collection systems when you stop
using it.
