4. DE THERMOMETER UITZETTEN

IMPORTANTI MISURE DI SICUREZZA

MISURAZIONE DELLA TEMPERATURA

INFORMACIÓN IMPORTANTE DE SEGURIDAD

PRECAUCIONES
1. Limpie la sonda del termómetro antes de usarlo.

4. No guarde la unidad bajo la luz directa del sol, a temperaturas elevadas o en zonas con gran humedad o polvo. Se puede degradar
su funcionamiento.
5. Deje de usar el termómetro si funciona de forma errática o si no funciona correctamente la pantalla.
6. Manténgalo fuera del alcance de los niños.
7. Limpie la sonda del termómetro antes de guardarlo.
8. No intente desmontar la unidad excepto para sustituir las pilas.
9. Si el termómetro se ha guardado a temperaturas por debajo de la temperatura de congelación, deje que se caliente de forma natural

LECTURAS DE TEMPERATURA
Las lecturas de temperatura varían de persona en persona. Aunque no existe una lectura de temperatura " normal", una temperatura tomada
oralmente, con una variación entre 36.1ºC y 37.7ºC se considera normal. La temperatura rectal es generalmente 0.5ºC mayor y bajo la axila (axi-
lar) es 0.5ºC inferior.El mejor método para determinar su propia temperatura normal es usar el termómetro cuando se encuentra bien. Registre
sus lecturas dos veces al día (por la mañana temprano y por la tarde). Coja la media de los dos temperaturas. Esta se considera su temperatura

ANTES DE USARLO
Su termómetro digital Vicks es un termómetro 3 en 1 para su uso oral, rectal y bajo la axila. Sea cual fuere el método que emplee, se recomienda
que 15 minutos antes de su uso, evite comer o beber, hacer ejercicio, tomar una ducha o un baño o fumar.
FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL TERMÓMETRO DIGITAL VICKS

2. SELECCIÓN DEL LUGAR DONDE TOMAR LA TEMPERATURA
A. Uso oral
• E s importante colocar la punta del termómetro bien bajo la lengua para obtener una lectura buena y precisa. (Figura 5) Coloque la
punta del sensor en las zonas marcadas con " 4". Mantenga la boca cerrada y siéntese tranquilo para ayudarle a asegurarse una medición
precisa.
• C uando se alcance la temperatura más alta (normalmente a los 19 segundos) sonarán 5 pitidos y el signo " C" dejará de parpadear. La
medición de la temperatura está ahora lista para su lectura y no se modificará cuando se retire el termómetro.
• Lave el termómetro tal y como se recomienda.
B. Uso bajo la axila (axilar)
Este método se puede emplear en niños pequeños y en bebés.
• Limpie la axila con una toalla.
• C oloque la punta de la sonda bajo el brazo de forma que la punta toque la piel y coloque el brazo cerca del cuerpo (Figura 6).
Con un niño pequeño, a veces resulta útil abrazarlo para mantener el brazo cerca del cuerpo. Esto asegura que el aire de la habitación
no afecta a la lectura.
• C uando se alcance la temperatura más alta (normalmente a los 22 segundos) sonarán 5 pitidos y el signo " C" dejará de parpadear.La

Normalmente usado en bebés, niños pequeños o cuando resulta difícil tomar la temperatura de forma oral o bajo la axila.
• C oloque al paciente sobre un lado. Para un bebé, la posición adecuada es colocarlo sobre su estómago con las piernas colgando hacia
abajo, bien sobre sus rodillas o al borde de una cama o de una mesa de cambio. Esto coloca el recto del niño para una inserción segura y
fácil del termómetro.
• I nserte suavemente la punta del termómetro NO MÁS DE 1cm en el recto. Si encuentra resistencia, deténgase. Sujete el termómetro en
ese lugar durante le medición.
• C uando se alcance la temperatura más alta (normalmente a los 13 segundos) sonarán 5 pitidos y el signo " C" dejará de parpadear. La
medición de la temperatura está ahora lista para su lectura y no se modificará cuando se retire el termómetro.

4. APAGADO DEL TERMÓMETRO
Apague el termómetro pulsando el botón On / Off. Si olvida apagarlo, el termómetro se apagará de forma automática tras
aproximadamente 1 1/2 minutos.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA
1. Waterproof = Resistente al agua
2. Limpie el termómetro lavando la punta dorada y la sonda con jabón y agua caliente. Desinfecte la punta dorada y la sonda
con alcohol (70% de alcohol de isopropyl).
3. Séquelo con un paño suave.
4. NO LO HIERVA O LO LAVE EN EL LAVAVAJILLAS. Esto provocará que el termómetro deje de funcionar y anulará la garantía.
5. No lo lave con ningún disolvente químico.

Para temperaturas superiores a 38.3ºC, la Alerta por Fiebre audible sonará 5 veces.
Mensajes de error: Se leerá en pantalla " Error" cuando se produzca un funcionamiento incorrecto y el termómetro
se pagará tras 1 minuto.

CAMBIO DE LA PILA (Figura 7)
El termómetro digital Vicks se caracteriza por presentar una larga vida de sus pilas. Cuando aparezca y parpadee " " en la parte superior central
de la pantalla, la pila está agotada y es necesario sustituirla.
