8.12 R/P Head Assy (Pos. 50200)
– Undo the screw (Pos. 50210), press the R/P head assy
(Pos. 50200) in the direction of the arrow as shown in Fig. 8.36 and
remove it upwards.
Note: Align the hole U of the R/P head assy (Pos. 50200) and pin
V on the mechanism chassis.
Subsequently, adjust the tape path and tracking position
(X value, refer to point 9. „Adjustments").

– Undo two screws (Pos. 30000), remove the stator (Pos. 22000) and
the tape drum earth spring (Pos. 11600, Fig. 8.37).
– When turning the mechanism upside down now, the carbon chip
(Pos. 11500) will fall out (Fig. 8.37).
– Undo two screws (Pos. 30000) and remove the rotor (Pos. 21000,
Fig. 8.37).
– Undo the three screws (Pos. 10400) at the bottom of the mechanism
and take the complete tape drum (Pos. 11000) out (Fig. 8.39).
