1 Intended use
The product is a pop-up toaster with adjustable browning levels and easy to access crumb
tray.
The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors.
Contact with moisture must be avoided under all circumstances.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described, the product may be dam-
aged.
Improper use can result in short circuits, fires, or other hazards.
The product complies with the statutory national and European requirements.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify the product.
Read the operating instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product
available to third parties only together with the operating instructions.

5 Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
5.1 General
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the haz-
ards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the man-
ufacturer, a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer
or a similarly qualified person, so as to prevent any danger.
The bread may burn, therefore do not use the appliance
near or below combustible material such as curtains.
Never leave the product unattended during use.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Risk of burns! The appliance becomes extremely hot dur-
ing use. Only touch the operating elements.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and
similar applications such as: farmhouses; by clients in ho-
tels, motels, and other residential type environments; bed
and breakfast type environments.
It is not suitable for use in staff kitchen areas in shops, of-
fices, and other working environments.
The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous
playing material for children.

5.2 Product
Do not try to dislodge jammed bread when toaster is in operation. Always disconnect
from the power supply and allow to completely cool down first. Take care not to damage
the internal mechanism or heating elements when dislodging bread.
Risk of fire! Do not insert bread slices that are too small or broken as they could be diffi-
cult to remove from the slots.
The product is designed in accordance with protection class I. Only a standard grounding
mains socket of the public supply grid (a wall socket, for example) may be used as a
power source.
Risk of fire! Do not use under cupboards.
Completely unwind the power cable from the cable organizer before using the product.
5.3 Handling
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and pro-
tect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the
product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appli-
ance.
5.4 Operating environment
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam
and solvents.
Protect the product from high humidity and moisture.
Protect the product from direct sunlight.
Do not switch the product on after it has been taken from a cold to a warm environment.
The condensation that forms might destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before you use it.
