SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Read all instructions and keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.
• The device is not intended for commercial use, only for household and similar
use.
• Only use the device indoors and keep it away from sources of heat, direct
sunlight, moisture and sharp edges.
• Do not use the device with damp hands. If the device becomes damp or wet,
pull out the plug immediately.
• Switch off the device and pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning,
storing or not using the device for a longer period of time.
• Only use the device under supervision. If you leave the room, switch off the
device and pull out the plug.
• Check the device and the power plug regularly for damage and do not use the
device if it is damaged.
• Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Repairs may only be carried out
by trained specialists. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, an authorised specialist company or a similarly qualifi ed
person.
• Dispose of the packaging material immediately so that children cannot play
with it and injure themselves.
• Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.
• Place the device on a fi rm, level surface from which it cannot fall.
• Do not place the device near gas or electric stoves or other heat sources.
• Only fi ll the water tank with cold water.
• Do not move the device during operation.
• The device is used to prepare coff ee from ground coff ee beans.
• Use the device only as described in the operating instructions. We accept
no liability for damage caused by disregarding the safety instructions or
improper use.
• Children over 8 years as well as mentally, sensory and physically impaired
persons may only use the device if they have been informed in detail about
the functions and safety precautions by a supervisor responsible for them
beforehand and understand the associated risks.
CAUTION
Risk of burns! To avoid burns, do not touch the surfaces during
operation. The hotplate in particular can be very hot for a long
time during operation, and even after it has been switched off .
