-
The drive must be set up and operated in a horizontal
position.
-
The reproduction of copyright-protected works is subject to
national laws. People who use the drive to create unaut
horised copies of works protected under copyright law may
be held liable.
-
If the drive is operated via a USB 1.1 port, the picture and
sound playback may be distorted when playing DVDs as a
result of the low data transfer rate. We therefore
recommend operating the drive via a USB 2.0 port.
-
To avoid errors during the copying process, we recommend
temporarily copying the information to be copied onto the
hard drive of your computer/laptop.
-
Never disconnect the drive from the computer while data is
being transferred!
-
Hama GmbH & Co. KG does not accept liability under any
circumstances for loss of data stored on storage media.

4.1 Connection
To connect the drive to the computer/laptop, there must be at
least one free USB 2.0 port on the computer/laptop.
The drive is supplied with power via the USB bus. In some
cases, the power supplied via the USB bus may not be suffi cient
to ensure successful operation of the device. However, the
enclosed connection cable allows you to use a second USB
port on the PC or laptop and therefore ensures suffi cient power
supply for the drive to operate.
(1) USB-A connecting plug (to PC/laptop)
(2) Additional USB-A connecting plug for power supply
(3) Mini USB plug (to drive)
Ensure that the PC or laptop where the drive is to be connected
is already switched on. If this is not the case, switch on the PC
or laptop before connecting the drive.
First, plug the enclosed USB connecting cable into the back of
the external drive.
