Installation

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The pack-
aging materials have been selected according to environmental and
waste disposal aspects and can therefore be recycled.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle saves raw materi-
als and reduces the amount of waste generated. When no longer
required, dispose of the packaging materials in accordance with the
local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging during the warranty pe-
riod in order to be able to pack the device properly in the event
of a warranty claim.

Installing the WLAN antennae

Proceed as follows to install the WLAN antennae:
‹ Screw the screw connectors of the WLAN antennae onto the
antenna terminals

‹ Push the WLAN antennae 90° to an upright position and align by
turning them clockwise.

Preconditions for operation

The following preconditions must be satisfied for installation and
operation of the device:
■ The TCP/IP protocol must be installed on all PCs.
■ The web browser must support JavaScript (e.g. Mozilla Firefox or
Microsoft Internet Explorer).
■ An Internet account with an Internet service provider and a DSL
connection are necessary for Internet access.
■ All devices employed must comply with the standards IEEE
802.11g, IEEE 802.11b or the draft IEEE 802.11n.

Do not tilt the WLAN antenna when fitting it to the screw
connection. The thread could be damaged.
The WLAN antenna is completely screwed-in after 4 com-
plete turns.
