Before operation always make sure that
the cover is fastened with screws!
Important:
The prerequisite for proper operation of the
TZIDC-220 positioner on the bus is that the
Transducer Block can change over to AUTO
mode. This requires that the operating range
of both the positioner and the valve be
matched to each other (as described in step
5 of the procedure below). If this auto-
adjustment should fail or cannot be per-
formed for any reason, the Transducer Block
remains in "Out of Service" mode and the
configuration bit in the "BLOCK-ERR Param-
eter" is "active".
1. Turn on the air supply to the positioner.
2. Connect the bus with arbitrary polarity (auxiliary
power 9 V DC ... 32 V DC) to the bus terminals.
If the emergency shutdown module is installed,
the supply voltage for this module needs to be
24 V DC (terminals +85 / -86) and the switch
needs to be in its ceter position. Otherwise, the
device has no pneumatic function.
3. Check for proper mounting:

4. Return to the remote level:

5. Run the standard Autoadjust function (make
sure that the remote level is activated)
For a linear actuator:

Standard autoadjustment is started automati-
cally, and the progress is displayed.
For a rotary actuator:
- Press . TZIDC-FF is indicated. Hold

- Press and hold

button. Standard autoadjustment is started
automatically, and the progress is displayed.
When standard autoadjustment has completed suc-
cessfully, the determined parameters are saved
automatically, and the remote level is activated
again.
In case of an error during standard autoadjustment,
error code 255 is briefly indicated. TZIDC-220 then
changes to the configuration level, parameter P1.1.

check the positioner-actuator assembly for proper
