ENGINE OIL CHANGE
Follow the procedure below.
1- Turn off the engine and remove
the ignition key.
2 - Let the engine cool down ade-
quately to avoid being burnt.
3 - Prepare a container of appropri-
ate capacity.
As for the oil quantity, see "Spec-
ifications".
4 - Unscrew the load plug (M).
5 - Unscrew the exhaust plug (Q)
and let all the oil flow into the
container.
6 - Replace the gasket and screw
plug (Q) back into place.
Important
Lock the plug to a torque of 55 Nm.
7 - Pour the new oil until it reaches
the correct level on the dipstick
(see "Engine oil level control").
8 - Screw again the load plug (M).
9 - Start the engine and bring it to the oper-
ating temperature (70÷80 °C).
Check for any oil leaks

Warning - Caution
If any oil leaks are found, stop the engine
immediately and contact an authorised
service centre.

10- Turn off the engine and check the oil lev-
el (see "Engine oil level control").
Important
Do not throw the oil in the environment
but carry out its disposal in compliance
with legislation in force in the country
where it is used.
Use the oils and lubricators recommend-
ed by the manufacturer (see "Recom-
mended lubricants").
