CAUTION: bread can burn. Never use the toaster near or underneath curtains
or other flammable materials.
Never hold the appliance by the toast slots. These become very hot when the
appliance is in use.

How to use the Toaster

Before the first use
Before the first use operate the toaster once on maximum heat without using
any bread to clean the heater elements. Thereafter your toaster is ready to
use.

Toasting Bread

Connect the plug to the power mains. Use the browning control dial (3) to set
the desired degree of browning. If you only want to toast one slice of bread,
lower the browning level by one point to achieve the same result.
After that, insert the slices of bread into the toast slots. Press the operating
lever (2) down until it locks. The heating element is now switched on. The
toasted slices will be automatically ejected from the slots when they are done.
The toaster switches off automatically. If you want to eject the slices before the
preset time, just press the STOP button (4) anytime during the toasting
process.
Please note that the operating lever engages only if the plug has been
connected to the power mains.
Please note that frozen, dry and fresh bread require different toasting times.

Bun Warmer

With the bun warmer (1) it is possible to toast thicker bread slices or buns and
to warm up waffles.
Set the browning control to a medium setting. Flip up the bun warmer by
sliding the lever (1). Place the buns on the warmer and switch the appliance
on as described above. After the toaster has switched off automatically, turn
the buns and switch it on again. Do not touch the bun warmer when in use as
it gets very hot.

Crumb Removal

There is a crumb tray at the bottom of your toaster, which enables you to
remove crumbs easily. Pull out the tray and clean it with a soft, damp cloth,
wipe dry and replace. Do not reach into the toaster with any kind of object.
