Function
Supply voltage for devices, lighting, lamps, signals, illuminated
cars, power drives, and electronic modules. Please definitely
use high current cable 0,75 mm˛ item 6897 by Viessmann
for connecting accessories to high power transformers (e. g.
Viessmann items 5200 and 5201)!
Common connection for devices, lighting, lamps, signals, il-
luminated cars, drives, electronic modules, push buttons and
track contacts, as well as common for the track voltage. Please
definitely use high current cable 0,75 mm˛ 6896 by Viessmann
for connecting accessories to high power transformers (e. g.
Viessmann items 5200 and 5201)!
Control wire (current pulse) for turnouts and signal motors or
relays activated from the control panel or by a track contact:
indicates "stop" at signals, "diverging" at turnouts
proceed at signals, "straight" at turnouts
proceed slowly at signals
shunting permitted at signals
Supply voltage for tracks and catenary with conventional and
digital systems. On tracks with centre contacts (e. g. Märklin)
the centre contacts are wired to red, on two-pole-tracks (Roco,
Piko, Fleischmann etc.) the red wire is connected in such a
way, that the train moves to the right when turning the control
knob to the right. Also used for the supply of digital accessory
decoders (turnouts and signals). Please definitely use high cur-
rent cable 0,75 mm˛ item 6897 by Viessmann for connecting
accessories to high power transformers (e. g. Viessmann items
5200 and 5201)!
Lower track voltage for tracks and catenary in analogue and
digital operation (e. g. from the brake module or brake genera-
tor).
Separate supply voltage ("E"-connection) for Viessmann ac-
cessory decoders.
Switched track voltage for supply of isolated track sections and
catenary in front of signals. Through switching, trains will be
stopped in front of signals with the "stop" aspect („Hp0").
Common track with DCC systems. Black wires can always be
used, where they shouldn't be seen, e. g. as continuous power
supply for colour light signal lights.
