Attaching the mounting plate
Please refer to the section "Safety Information"!
• First, remove the mounting plate by rotating it slightly
counter-clockwise.
• Fasten the mounting plate with two screws and plugs to
the ceiling.
Use screws and plugs that are suitable for the surface.
Pay attention when drilling/tightening the
screws that no power, gas or water pipes are
damaged!
• After connecting the cables (see next chapter), the mo-
tion switch needs to be attached to the mounting plate
and locked by rotating it clockwise.
Make sure that the cables are not pinched or damaged!
Connection
Connect the connection cables to the corresponding
screw terminals (observe labels):
L = Phase (brown cable)
N = Neutral wire (bleu cable)
A = Switch output (red cable)
Please pay attention to the example circuit in the
picture on the right, or the imprint in the housing next
to the screw terminals.
Controls on the motion switch
• Setting the on-time (control knob "TIME")
Using this control, you can set the duration time for the connection L'. Turning the control
knob counter clockwise, to the left, shortens the on-time, turning it to the right lengthens it.
If a further motion is detected during the on-time, the time for the on-time starts again.
• Setting the brightness (control knob "LUX")
This knob allows the switching threshold to be set, i.e. the ambient brightness at which the
motion switch is activated.
Turning the knob towards the moon symbol, means the motion detector activates when it is
darker, turning it to the left, towards the sun symbol, activates the motion detector in brighter
conditions.
If you want to carry out a function test by daylight, turn the control knob fully to the left.
Opeleveln
As already explained in the chapter "Function of the motion switch", the PIR movement sensor
in the motion switch responds to temperature changes in the detection area.
When a temperature changes is detected, the relay is activated and switches on the connected
power consumer for the set time. The LED on the movement switch is also activated. If new
motion is detected during the on-time, the on-time duration starts once again, the consumer
stays switched on.
When a temperature change is no longer detected, the connected consumer is switched off.
Maintenance and Care
The motion switch is maintenance free. For this reason, you should never open it or take it
apart (except for the installation described in this manual). Maintenance or repairs may only be
performed by qualifi ed personnel.
Occaisonally clean the hemispherical diffusion panel on the motion switch from dust or sedi-
ments; only use a dry, clean and soft cloth.

Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
