Connection to a display unit
• For the connection to a reproducer (monitor, television), several video outputs (DVI, FBAS,
Y/Pb/Pr) and several audio outputs (analogue, digital) are available.
• External data carriers (e.g. an additional USB2.0 hard disk or a USB stick) may be connected
to one of both USB connections.
• The control takes place via the IR remote control; the operation buttons on the media recorder
itself only cover a few important functions.
Tips & Notes
• Please consult the manufacturer's English instruction manual. It is either provided as a print-
ed version or as a pdf file on a CD.
• Although the media recorder supports many video, audio and picture formats, it cannot be
guaranteed that it will play all of your files.
There are many unmanageable file formats for multimedia files, so that audio and video mal-
functions may occur, or a file may not be playable at all.
Playback programmes for computers are far more flexible here, not only because there are
many different programmes, but also because of frequent updates or newer versions.
It might help to convert a problematic multimedia file, using suitable software, into another format.
• Select in the setting menu the right video format (e.g. PAL/NTSC), otherwise the screen dis-
play is in black and white only.
• Select the right input on the display as well as the right output on the media recorder.
• In the media recorder a DVB-T tuner is integrated. Therefore, do not connect the media
recorder to a conventional cable connection, since there is no DVB-T signal available. Use an
appropriate DVB-T antenna and connect it to the „Ant-In" port at the back of the media
recorder.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the house-
hold waste!
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for the
relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the labelling is
visible on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. under the refuse bin symbol
shown on the left).
You can return used (rechargeable) batteries free of charge at the official-
collection points in your municipality, our stores, or where ever (rechargeable)
batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
